Teri Adams is an artist with a gypsy heart. She finds her inspiration through nature, the Impressionistic artists, Chinese painters, and her devotion to Meher Baba. Many of her current portraits focus on Him seen as the Avatars of the ages.
As a young adult, Teri (AKA Terry Nau, AKA Terry Scott) studied with a renowned Shanghai watercolorist Ou Mei Shu, whom she met in New Mexico. She learned both the Southern and Northern Style of Chinese watercolor from him. Mei Shu was a colleague of both Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe. Mei Shu encouraged Teri to develop her watercolor skills, which she has done over the course of her life. At different times, she has taught Chinese Watercolor workshops and classes to adults and children in Manhattan Beach, C.A. and in Asheville, North Carolina. Teri is also a portrait artist, versed in pencil, charcoal, pastel, and other dry mediums. Contact her for more info. |
